Wine Spires North Cascades Mountains
Wine Spires are so-called, as each is named after a wine, from left, Burgundy, Chianti, Pernod and Chablis. Highlighted by late afternoon sun, Silver Star Mountain is the highest peak in this granite formation at 8,876 feet in elevation. (The pointy spire to its right is Silver Star Horn).
